An inquiry into how the Georgia geographical features are defined
An inquiry into the typical weather pattern of each region
Description of the Unit: In our first unit of inquiry, students will locate all the geographic regions of Georgia:
Appalachian plateau, Valley and ridge, Blue Ridge, Mountains, Piedmont, Coastal
Plain. The student will locate the major rivers of Georgia: Chattahoochee, Flint and Savannah and make a connection
to the weather in each region. Students will inquire how pollution affects our regions and rivers.
